Southeast Asia Everything Steak Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 cup this little goat went to southeast asia, divided
  • 3 bunches of green onions
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • ¼ cup mint, torn
  • ¼ cup basil, torn
  • ¼ cup cilantro, stems and leaves separated
  • 16 oz Linz Heritage flank steak
  • 1 tbsp neutral oil
  • (optional) 2 chilis, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. Begin by marinating the Linz Heritage flank steak. In a bowl, combine ¾ cup of This Little Goat Southeast Asia Everything Sauce with the chopped cilantro stems. Place the steak in the marinade, ensuring it is fully coated. Allow the steak to marinate for a minimum of 30 minutes, allowing the flavors to infuse.
  2. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  3. Grill the marinated steak to your preferred level of doneness, ensuring to turn it occasionally for even cooking. This usually takes around 4-6 minutes per side, depending on the thickness of the steak. Once cooked, set the steak aside to rest.
  4. While the steak is resting, toss the green onions in the neutral oil and place them on the grill. Cook the onions until they become charred on the edges and tender.
  5. In a small bowl, combine the juice of 1 lime, the remaining ¼ cup of This Little Goat Southeast Asia Everything Sauce, and honey, creating a tangy and sweet salad dressing.
  6. Slice the rested steak into thin strips.
  7. To assemble the salad, start by layering the torn mint, basil, grilled onions, and halved cherry tomatoes in a serving dish.
  8. Drizzle the salad dressing over the herb and vegetable mixture, ensuring it is evenly distributed.
  9. Top the salad with the sliced steak.
  10. If desired, garnish the salad with thinly sliced chilis for an extra kick of heat.
