Morocco Spiced Cheesy Apple Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 unbaked, plain pie shell

Pie Dust

  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 tbs granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 2 tbs shredded cheddar 

Cheesy Apple Filling

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tbs corn starch
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 2 tbs grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp this little goat went to morocco
  • 4-5 honey crisp apples, peeled and chopped

Oat Streusel Topping

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2/3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp this little goat went to morocco
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 3/4 stick unsalted butter, cold and cut into cubes

 

Directions

  1. Make the pie dust, filling, then oat streusel
  2. For the pie dust, mix all ingredients together and set aside
  3. For the filling, preheat the over to 350 degrees F
  4. Spread pie dust on the bottom of the unbaked pie shell
  5. Mix filling ingredients together and place on top of pie crust
  6. For the oat streusel, mix all the ingredients together until the butter is incorporated and comes together in clumps. Place mixture on top of filling and bake until the filling bubbles slowly
