Hong Kong Cranberry Sauce


  • 1 lb fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • Juice and zest of 1 orange (about ¼ cup juice and 1 tbs zest)
  • 1 1/2 tsp This Little Goat went to Hong Kong
  • 1 tsp kosher salt


  1. Add all ingredients, except zest, to a medium saucepan and mix to combine. Bring to a simmer over medium heat. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries burst and the mixture has thickened, about 15 minutes.
  2. Season to taste with salt and sugar, as desired, and let cool completely before serving. Top with orange zest.

*The cranberries will continue to thicken as they cool.
